The Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) in alliance with the Colegio de CPA present the preparatory courses and exams required to obtain the professional designation of Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.

CIRA Courses:

Part II: Plan Development (1617-03E)

Valuation analysis (going concern and liquidation). Financing the turnaround and the plan. Establishment of classes and interests. Negotiation of the terms of the plan. Tax impact of plans. Disclosure statement. Chapter 11 and out of court plans. Conversion to Chapter 7 and liquidation plans.


CPE Credits: 16 (4 A&A, 3 Taxes, 9 General)

Course: October 20 & 21, 2016

Registration: 8:00am - 8:30am               Classes: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Exam: October 22, 2016                                             8:30am - 11:30am

Part III: Financial Reporting, Taxes & Ethics (1617-04E)

Retention of financial advisors and fees. Financial reporting during reorganization. Accounting for the reorganization. Financial reporting on emergence from Ch. 11. Accountants’ reports and application of litigation services guidelines. Ethical responsibilities and issues. Tax considerations.


CPE Credits: 16 (10 A&A, 1 Ethics, 2.5 Taxes, 2.5 General)

Course: December 8 & 9, 2016

Registration: 8:00am - 8:30am               Classes: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Exam: December 10, 2016                                       8:30am - 11:30am

Cost:

   ♦ CPA & Others $725 per part (Includes one-year membership in AIRA for first time registrants)

   ♦ “Full time government employees of federal, state or municipal agencies and university professors

       with a full schedule” $275 per part (Includes one-year membership in AIRA for first time

       registrants)*


*These persons are required to present a letter from their employers certifying they are “full time” employees. Contractors and part-time employees are not eligible for the reduced price.
