At the Financial Oversight and Management Board, we know that the most valuable resource of any enterprise is its people. This makes finding the right talent for the job one of the most important drivers in running a business, and among the most difficult as well.
The economic and fiscal challenges facing Puerto Rico have not made this task easier for local business owners. With unemployment levels on the rise, labor participation at historically low levels, and workers leaving for the U.S. mainland in large numbers, the job market on the island has remained stagnant.
For Puerto Rico’s employment market to reach its full potential, we first need to know about where it currently stands. Therefore, we want to hear from you about the opportunities and challenges you, as employers, confront in finding the talent necessary to make your business grow.
Please fill out a short survey on this matter, available at the link below. The survey should not take more than five minutes and is specific for each vacant position available at your company. We would like to close the survey by January 27, so please complete by then. The survey is confidential and can be completed in English or Spanish. The results will be aggregated and only summary results will be made public.
We deeply appreciate your collaboration.
